Environmental Awareness Club Minutes
March 12, 2009

Members present: Julia Knapp- President, Ben Knapp- Vice President, Gazendra Shakya- Treasurer, Terrah Baker- Secretary, Nick Baker

OLD BUSINESS:
Movie Night:

• Still have to apply for food waiver but told it is unlikely we will be able to have snacks. Will still have door prizes!

• Ben is reserving room for April 2 at 6:30 p.m.

• Movie flyers must go through the Office of Student Activities the week before the event to be approved! (March 22 would give us enough time to hang them up)

• Movie flier approved.

Recycling stand to promote movie (among other reasons):

• Must check with Meeting and Conference Services Office-Union 307 to get permission to set up

Constitution:

• Bring revisions to next official meeting.

Warrensburg Earth Day Festival:

• Sign building event March 30 from 6-8 p.m. (anyone can ride with me and Nick)

NEW BUSINESS:
Stream Team:

• Citizens for Environmental Action member will be holding stream team activities later this semester. Stay tuned for more info.

Legislative meeting:

• To be held at community center March 17 at 5 p.m.

• Discussing QUIP and Proposition C.

“Mess on the Mall”:

• Taking part in a multi-organization Earth Day event on April 22 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

• Will be sorting through trash to find recyclable materials.

Mandatory SGA meetings:

• Must have name of representative and alternate in by March 23 and meetings will be the first Wednesday of every month at 4 p.m. :-P

T-SHIRTS!!!!:

• Ben is checking on shirts, Terrah on printing. Shirts should be in by April 18 in time for Earth Day Festival! (come up with a design at next general meeting)

Farmer’s Market meeting:

• Meeting to discuss PR on campus tentatively scheduled during spring break.
